Sometimes a payment error prevents you from finalising your monthly, annual or lifetime subscription on the website. Here is a list of these errors and some tips and solutions to resolve them:
1. An error message appears
If you see one of the following messages: "The transaction did not work"; "The payment did not go through"; "Your payment method could not be authenticated, please try again later", you can try the following steps:
- Try again from another browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari)
- Contact your bank to find out more, as this may also be related to your card, or a decline from your bank. .
2. A white screen appears after you have registered your credit card and prevents the subscription
This can happen when an extension on your browser prevents the payment page from opening or if you are using a non-updated Internet browser.
To fix this:
Disable Adblock (or other ad blocker) on your browser..
3. At the moment of validating the payment, the page keeps loading, without resulting in any payment.
This error is due to the new European Directive on Secure Online Payments (PSD2).
It requires a stronger authentication when you make purchases on Internet using 2 factors (via a banking app, by text messages and receiving a code). Authentication can vary between banks, so please check your bank's website for more information.
You can also turn to our gift cards and not subscriptions. As the type of transaction is different from a subscription, there is a chance that it will work.
Please see our articles on gift cards for more information:
